My  work focus on word-meaning and lexical pragmatics. I am very interested in how words can be used to express different things depending on the context.

My PhD thesis was about polysemy and copredication. For example, think of the following sentence:

The school that caught fire was celebrating the end-of-year party.

In the sentence, the word school means the building. Surprisingly, it also means a group of people (the people that were celebrating the end-of-year party). This is a copredicative sentence.

I am also interested in many other topics: the meaning of gender terms, language development, metaphor, metonomy, experimental philosophy, linguistic relativism, etc.
